FERD is comprised of three departments, the Department of Environmental Science, Department of Geography and Department of Natural Resources.n the Faculty of Environment and Resource Development we are committed to being student-centered, creating learning environments that are challenging, collaborative, interdisciplinary, and skill-based. Our goal is to educate and train the next generation of professional leaders in the domains of environmental science and natural resource management.
In the face of climate change, water scarcity, energy challenges, urban sprawl, pollution, over-consumption, waste management, diminishing natural resources, species extinction (rapid global environmental change) - solutions to these issues require new approaches in meeting the needs of learners.
